The current situation has impacted on all our lives. And sadly we had to cancel our 5th anniversary event in the Ginnel this year. Staying home, saving lives and protecting the NHS have to be priorities. Still, we are able to celebrate five years of GINNEL FOTO FEST in Ipswich by launching our GINNEL-20 initiative to bring a selection of international photography to your home by having the exhibition AT YOUR PLACE. At Ginnel Foto Fest we always had it close to our heart to invite the local community and visitors to see a world-class photo exhibition in an unusual and welcoming space for free. Those who came over the past years enjoyed the hospitality, the great artworks, live music and culinary treats. And without our wonderful volunteers, this would not have ben possible. Thank you all!
What we do at the Ginnel Foto Community is largely built on trust. And all artist that we have worked with have put their trust in our ideas and allowed us to print, frame curate and exhibit their work to the public during what we believe is the "smallest foto festival" in the world.
It is no secret that the creative industries have taken a massive hit by the coronavirus, leaving many artists very uncertain about their future. The same accounts for small arts organisation like ours.
Today we are very happy to introduce the GINNEL KOLLEKTIV - a new cooperative to support artists and helping our organisation during difficult times.
Starting with the 2020 artists we are able to offer you a unique collection of limited edition prints exclusively authorised by the artists to the Ginnel Foto Community in an edition of 10. These prints are available in only one size, 11x14 inches, celebrating the classic Ginnel Frame you would have seen when coming to the festival.
Starting at only £ 99 you can own a highly collectable limited edition work of art, knowing that 50% go straight to the artist.
